Clarence Perkins was born at the old Brooklyn mine camp (part of the Old Victoria Mines) in Ontonagon County, Michigan. He married Grace Ethel Marshall (1915-1942) on 11 Aug 1935 in Flint, Michigan; they had a son, Alfred Leroy, and daughters Barbara Lou and Mary Margaret. He was a retired cannery worker, having lived and worked in Ketchikan, Alaska for many years. After retirement, he spent most of his later years living with his nephew, David L. Gonyea and family, in California. He was resident-manager at a Sacramento apartment complex before taking ill. Clarence died at River Park Care Center in Sacramento.
