The son of Elisha Quincy and Eugenia Von Rosenberg Adams, Alexander E. Adams was born in Fayette County, Texas and grew up in his home area. Sometime around 1900, his family moved to the Burnet County and established themselves in what became the Lake Victor community. On December 23,1919, Alexander Adams married Tennie Mae McCoy and they became parents of seven children; Eugenia Elizabeth, Dorothy Lois, Audrey Dale, Opal Mae, Jerry Danley, Lamar Poe, and Lester Eugen Adams.
