Mrs. Mabel Mary Matthews Brinkley, 71, widow of William t. Brinkley, of Barhamsville, Va. died Tuesday, at 8 p.m. in a Richmond hospital.
A former resident of Portsmouth, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Matthews and Mrs. Ann Weadon Matthews; Mrs. Brinkley was a member of a Baptist church in Richmond, and Esther Chapter No. 37 OES in Portsmouth.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. H.S. Kirby, of Barhamsville, and Mrs. T.H. Peace of Richmond; as sister, Mrs. Elizabeth M. Snowden, of Norfolk and two grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
