On February 8, 1930, she married Benjamin Hoke Price, the son of William Ayers and Carrie Geanette Tharp Price. They were married by Reverend W. C. Wescott. Uncle Bennie was a farmer and a Baptist Minister. He was the minister of Bethel Baptist Church in the 1940’s and 1950’s. Uncle Bennie and Aunt Hazel had three children; Barbara Ann Price, James Cowell Price, and Patricia Hazel Price.
Later in life, Uncle Bennie and Aunt Hazel moved to Beaufort, Carteret, NC were Uncle Bennie was employed as a Baptist Minister. Aunt Hazel died in Beaufort on May 18, 1972. She is buried in the Carteret Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Beaufort. Uncle Bennie died on October 24, 1984 and is buried next to Aunt Hazel in the Carteret Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Aunt Hazel was one of the sweetest women I know.
