Harlan Muncey, 57, of Chapmanville, passed away Monday, October 6, 2008, at CAMC Memorial Division in Charleston.

Born September 10, 1951, at Holden, he was a son of the late Harlan and Jessie Lawson Muncey. Also preceding him in death were his brothers, Jack Muncey, Ronnie Muncey and Buck Muncey, and sisters, Diana Bartram and Pamela Muncey.

Harlan was a member of the Hedgeview Christian Baptist Church and was a disabled maintenance man for Trinity Healthcare Services.

Survivors include his wife, Lassie Muncey; two daughters, Ammy Adams of Crawley and Tarah Muncey of Mill Creek; one brother, Deenie (Sharon) Muncey of Mud Fork; sisters, Carol Butcher of Yuma, Peggy (Lee) Brown of Switzer, Debbie Evans of Mud Fork and Tina (James) Farley of Chapmanville, and three grandchildren, Amber Tutera and Kaleb and Paige.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 10, at the Hedgeview Christian Baptist Church at Hedgeview with Rev. Bobby Harrison and Rev. Donnie Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

His nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the church.
