BLANCHE EULA ROBINSON, age 93 of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formerly of Centreville, Virginia died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Robinson was born March 8, 1917 in Bandy, Virginia, daughter of the late Claude E. and Viola E. (Bryant) Altizer. Mrs. Robinson (Pee Wee) as she was accustomed to be called by her family and friends was a very loving and caring mother. Her mission in life (according to her) was to raise her four boys. She devoted the majority of her life helping others. Raised with a large family, she was probably one of the best cooks ever. After her boys were finished with school, she went to work for Safeway Corporation. She helped open numerous stores in Northern Virginia. She managed the cafeteria at Centreville Elementary for six years and then she went to George Mason Library for three years. Following George Mason she went to work for Atlantic Research Corporation, Alexandria, Virginia having retired in 1973. She will be missed by all her family and dear friends who visited her and comforted her for many years.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oswald A. Robinson; six brothers, Chase, Ermal, Maurice, Edgar, Ira and George Altizer and two sisters, Thelma Pruitt and Nell Altizer.

Survivors include four children, Jerry W. Robinson (Susan) of Charleston, South Carolina, Edwin C. Robinson (Joan) of Manassas, Virginia, Kenneth M. Robinson (Meg John) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Robert E. Robinson of Centreville, Virginia; one sister, Dolly Caron of Manassas, Virginia; three brothers, Carroll E. Altizer of Dallas, Texas, Thomas W. Altizer of Staunton, Virginia and Elmer H. Altizer of Bishop, Virginia; five grandchildren, Ashley Carroll Watson, Kirsten Kay Ruiz, Kelly Brook Richardson, Thomas Christopher Robinson and Shannon Robinson and 11 great-grandchildren.
