FOND DU LAC – Gordon E. Stry. 79. 845 Ledgeview Avenue. Fond du Lac Wisconsin, died May 12, 1994 at his residence. He was born August 19, 1914, Oshkosh, Wisconsin son of William and Meta Riehl Stryzewski. He married Jane Rusch October 3rd, 1936 at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Oshkosh. They moved to Fond du Lac in 1937. He was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church. The Men’s Club and the Lutheran Layman’s League. Member of the Noon Kiwanis and on the Board of Directors for the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home. He was a theater artist, former owner of Mitchell Sign Company of Fond du Lac and Jaeger Sign Company until selling the company to his son Terry in 1982. Survivors are 1 Son: Terry G. Stry. Wife Gwendolyn J., Fond du Lac: 1 Daughter: Joy Anderson, husband James. Green Bay; 3 grandchildren Amy and Mitchell Anderson, Sara Stry; Special Friend: Lorraine Jenz Fond du Lac. He was preceded in death by Parents, wife April 28, 1989. 1 sister Ruth and 1 brother the Rev. Ray Stry. Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church. Pastor H. P. Hilgendorf officiating. Burial will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery. Oshkosh. Friends may call 5-8 P.M. Friday at Mach Funeral Chapel and 9:30 - 10:30 A.M. Saturday at Hope Lutheran Church. A memorial fund will he established.
