AUG 6, 1937- MAY 5,2010 Age 72 of Delhi, CA, passed away in Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock with his loved ones by his side. He was born in Oakland, CA and lived in Newark, CA, where he raised his 4 children, then he settled in Delhi to enjoy his retirement. He served in the United States Air Force Reserves from 1953-1957, retired from Allstate Insurance Company in 1981 after 30 years of dedicated service. He was President of Newark Holy Ghost from 1979-1980, President of the S.E.S. Council #8 of Newark, S.E.S. Supreme President 1981-1982 and 2004-2005. Currently was Secretary of S.E.S. Past Supreme Presidents, Secretary S.E.S. Council #22 of Turlock, S.E.S. Convention Chairperson numerous years, Chairperson Portuguese Immigrant Week for 25 years, Merced County Volunteer Sheriff for numerous years. Currently served on the Delhi Municipal Advisory Council (MAC), S.E.S. Council #44 of Ferndale,#42 of Caycus, #20 of Mountain View, #5 of Tracy and #78 of Half Moon Bay. He enjoyed visiting and spending time with his friends and extended family'' at the Almond Tree Restaurant in Turlock, also trying his luck at lottery games and almost all of the Indian Casinos in California, hoping to win the big one someday. He will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Survivors include his wife, Eileen Nolte of 54 years of Delhi; children, Debbie Parrott and her husband Windell of Delhi, Bobby Nolte Jr., and his wife Cheri of Tracy, CA, Tammy Almaraz of Delhi and Kim Fernandes and her husband Tony of Delhi, CA; brother, Richard Nolte of Tuolumne, CA; 10 grandchildren, Brandon Parrott, Kristal Grimes, Tim Grimes, Christopher Nolte, Tyler Nolte, AJ Almaraz, Ashley Almaraz, Jonathan Fernandes, Justin Fernandes, Jessyka Fernandes; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Edgar Nolte, mother Marguarite Nolte, and sister Kathy Slakey. Visitation will be at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel from 2PM-5PM, Wed., May 12, 2010. A Mass is scheduled at 10AM, Thurs., May 13, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rosary will be held 7PM, Wed., May 12, 2010 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
