Blakesburg, July 29, 1919 -- Death entered two homes here Saturday night, claiming two women, Mrs. John Abernathy and Mrs. Jacob Ziegler, both of whom were almost centenarians. The former was born April 4, 1829. She died at her home at 7:30 o'clock Saturday night of an illness caused by ptomaine poisoning. She was buried yesterday afternoon in the Blakesburg Cemetery. She is survived by M. H. Abernathy and Mrs. John Peck of this city and George Abernathy of Allenton.
