ERNEST E. HAWKINS - Ernest E. Hawkins, 64, of 3710 N. Cypress drive, died Thursday at North Kansas City Memorial Hospital. He was born in Columbia, Mo., and had lived in this area 20 years. Mr. Hawkins was a salesman for the Schwindler Brokerage Co. five years before he retired a year ago. Earlier he had worked for Swift & Co. 36 years. He was a member of the Avondale United Methodist Church. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Claycome American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars posts. He was a member of the Allied Flood Club. He was a member of the Washington, Mo., Elks Lodge. He leaves his wife, Mrs. Louise Neola Hawkins of the home; three sons, Richard D. Hawkins and Thomas E. Hawkins of Kansas City and John W. Hawkins, Exceisior Springs; a daughter, Mrs. Susan L. Venable, Kansas City; two brothers. O.D. Hawkins, Des Moines, Iowa, and Bill Hawkins, Raytown; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Lloyd, Columbia; and nine grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Newcomer White Chapel; burial in White Chapel Cemetery. Friends may call from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today at the chapel.
