Archie grew up in Syracuse. He was a co-founder of the original Clover Club and then owned Pickles Delicatessen 1972-1986. From 1992 to 1993, he owned the Clover Club in Shopping Town Mall. He was a veteran of WW II and a member of Temple Adath Yeshurun.
