Joseph Edward Blaisdell, 42, of Newburyport, died May 21, 2010.
Joseph worked for the Newburyport Department of Public Works for 25 years, was a member of the Neptune Fireman's Association and of the North End Boat Club in Newburyport. He was also an avid sports fan and loved fishing, gardening and cooking.
Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph Keefe, and is survived by his loving parents Virginia and Roy Young of Hampton, NH and Gilbert and Mary Blaisdell of Amesbury. He is also survived by his daughter Trisha Eaton of Seabrook, NH, his fiancee Diane L. Raven of Newburyport, brothers Gilbert Blaisdell of Arizona, Todd Blaisdell of Barrington, NH and Scott Blaisdell of Middleton, step sister Kimberly Gates of PA as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends including a special niece Lori Forni and close cousin Matthew Rowe.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon at the Twomey-LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery in Newburyport. Family and friends may call also on Wednesday from 10 am to 12 noon, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
