MARGENE C. ANDERSON
OAKLEY - Margene Cranney Anderson was born March 16, 1916, and died peacefully at her home on Thursday, April 22, 2004. Margene was a Bellevue, Washington, resident and was formerly of Oakley. Margene had loving memories of her father and mother for the first 6 years of her life, before she lost her mom who died during her 4th pregnancy. This did not inhibit her own special gift of being a loving, kind, gentle Mom. Margene mothered 6 children: Saragene, Danny, Tamara, Jessie, Trent, and Sheila. Margene loved serving others and fulfilling her callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Ray C. Anderson in 1934, at the age of 18. Margene so loved her Ray, and he cherished his "Pretty Lady" Margene. That she was! She was the anchor to her family. Margene's love for Christ and her family was always expressed at Christmas, her favorite holiday. Margene and Ray were sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple in 1964. We rejoice now as Margene reunites with her sweetheart, Ray; her son, Danny; Grandma Muggie; sister Hattie; brother Herald; her Mom and Dad; and others of her eternal family. We remember her as a loyal wife to Ray, a warm, affectionate mother to her 6 children, a joyous exuberant grandmother to 21 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She will so be missed but we are so happy that once again she will be dancing with the love of her life, Ray.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 noon Wednesday, April 28, 2004, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Oakley Stake Center, 301 N. Center, with Bishop Eric C. Bedke officiating. Burial will be in the Marion Cemetery near Oakley. Friends may call at the Payne Mortuary, 221 West Main Street in Burley on Tuesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
