RECENT DEATHS
MEEK – Funeral services for Lloyd M. Meek, 60, were held Tuesday afternoon in the Christian Union Church at Douglas. Burial was made in the Douglas cemetery.

Meek died last Wednesday in Long Beach, Calif. He was a former resident of Enid and Douglas. The funeral arrangements were in charge of the Henninger Funeral Home.

DOUGLAS
Mr. Lloyd Meek, an early day resident of Douglas, died at his home in Long Beach, Calif., on April 13 and funeral services were held there Friday. Mrs. Meek and her daughter, Mrs. Ruth Miller, of Long Beach, came with the body, arriving Monday afternoon. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. A. Dorrell, who had assisted in the service at the time he was ordained as a minister. The funeral was held in the Christian Union Church here Tuesday afternoon. The church was filled with mourning friends and relatives.

A quartet of early day associates, Frank Taggert and D.M. Diener of Enid; Joe Gibson and John Piper of Douglas; sang his favorite songs. Rev. J.B. Rogers assisted with the service. Pallbearers were J.L. Miller of Enid, A.J. Brown and Will Looman of Marshall, J.D. Hollar, Ed Williams and Ike Roelse of Douglas.

Burial was made in the local cemetery.

Mr. Meek leaves to mourn his passing, his devoted wife, Mrs. Ethel Meek, a daughter, Ruth and son LeRoy of the home, a son, Voight Meek of Oklahoma City; and daughters, Mrs. Beleta Littleton and Mrs. Ruth Miller of Long Beach, Calif.; one grandchild, four brothers, Victor Meek, Wichita, Kan.; Ira Meek, Battle Creek, Mich.; Raleigh Meek, Kansas City, Mo.; and Leslie Meek, Enid; one sister, Mrs. Zella Miller of Kansas City; other relatives and many friends.
