Jedrey A. Connors, 67, of Newburyport, MA died unexpectedly at his home on April 28, 2010.
He was born on July 19, 1942, in Newburyport, MA, he was the son of the late John & Anna Connors, brother to Jack, Jean Roy & the late Joan Foley. He was a lifelong resident of Newburyport and a graduate of Immaculate Conception High School Class of 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force (1961-1965) He was employed by Shaw's Supermarket and celebrated his 20 yr anniversary with them last summer. He was a proud member of the "boardwalk gang" and could be found there daily, rain or shine. He could be seen riding his bike on the rail trail checking the progress of the various projects through out the city. Jedrey had such an easy, happy go-lucky way about him and will be sorely missed by all those who knew him.
He is survived by his long term companion, Josephine Minalio, of Newburyport, MA, his brother John and his wife Kitty of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, his sister Jean Roy and her husband J. Edward of Amesbury, MA as well as, many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Joan Foley and his great nephew Ryan Smith of Amesbury, MA.
Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Monday, May 3, 2010 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Twomey , LeBlanc and Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Parish Catholic Church on Green Street in Newburyport. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in Newburyport.
