Matilda Hooper Scott, aged 79, wife of Dock Scott, died at her home in Meridian at 4:46 a.m. Tuesday after having undergone treatment for cancer for many years.
She is survived by her husband; 3 sons, J C, Edward M, Ozone; Martin D, Harriman; one daughter, Mrs Rilla Bryson, Ozone; a brother in Oklahoma and a sister in Kansas.
Mr and Mrs Scott were married about 45 years ago, lived at Ozone more than
20 years, then moved to Meridian in 1928.
Funeral services were held at the home Wednesday with burial in the Rockwood cemetery.
