Toney Wendler, 51, 2534 19th, died Sunday at Central Kansas Medical Center. Born July 7, 1929 in Ness City, he was a resident here since 1969, moving here from Ness City.

He married Genevieve Stoecklein Aug. 8, 1949 in Ness City.

He was an employee of the Fuller Brush Co. Wendler was a member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church of Great Bend.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Alan of Hays; one daughter, Mrs. Bob (Lora) Olivier of Great Bend; his stepmother, Grace Wendler of Ness City; two brothers, Delbert of Arvada, Colo., and Gary of Great Bend; one stepbrother, Gene Severson of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

Prayer service will be at 7:30 tonight at the Brantley-Bryant Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Don Pfannenstiel and the Rev. Charles Mazouch officiating. Burial will be at 4 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Ness City.

The family suggests memorials to the CKMC Cobalt Memorial or St. Patrick's Church Building Fund. Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at the Brantley-Bryant Funeral Home.
