Native Texas Dies at Home Here Friday
MRS. Y. G. EDWARDS, 66, native Texan and long time resident of Saint Jo and Montague County, died at her home here Friday afternoon after a short illness. Services were held at the Assembly of God Church Saturday afternoon with Rev. JOHN NOTHALF officiating. Burial was at Mountain Park Cemetery, arranged by Scott Bros. Mrs. Edwards was born in Dallas County July 26, 1874. She and her husband and family lived in this area for many years. She had been in ill health for a number of years. Outside of a short time at Burkburnett, the family has made their home here for many years. Pallbearers were RAYMOND, CARL and ALLEN EDWARDS, J. R. MILBURN Jr., CURTIS and E. W. YOUNG. Survivors included Y. G. EDWARDS, sons and daughters, LEWIS and LESTER of Saint Jo, L. H. of Burkburnett, LUTHER of Electra, L. C. of Modera, California, MRS. CHARLES HOLTON of Sherman, MRS. TOM CARROLL of Blooming Grove, and MRS. ROBERT MILBURN of Bulcher and a brother in Tarrant County.
