Inscription

In memory of Mr Nathaniel Hatch who died with the small pox at Charleston NH July 3 1776. His bones were accidentally discovered by men at work on a turnpike between Charleston and Walpole and deposited at this place by the desire of his son Oliver Hatch of this town.
