She was born May 16, 1918 in Burkett, Texas, a daughter of the late Arch B. Harris and Mary Lou Colvin Harris. She grew up in Burkett and graduated from Burkett High School in 19385. On May 12, 1940, she married Jimmie C. (J.C.) Tomlinson in Coleman and he preceded her in death. Following her marriage, she lived in Corpus Christi for 25 years and returned to live in Coleman in 1976. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church where she worked with the United Methodist Women (UMW) and in the Clothing Room at the church. She received two life membership pins from UMW - one from St. John's United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, and one from First United Methodist Church in Coleman. Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of the VFW Post 8875 Ladies Auxialiary and worked 10 years as a volunteer at Leisure Lodge Care Center where she led a devotional program.
She is survived by her daughter, Jimmie Marie Davis of Pampa; four grandchildren, Gene Douglas Tomlinson, Christopher Robin Davis and wife Karol, Jonathan Gabriel Davis, Sarah Elizabeth Davis; four great-grandchildren, Jennifer Ann Tomlinson Jones, Savannah Marie Davis, Cheyanne Faith Day, London Hope Davis; one step-great-grandson, John Harmon Cash; two great-great-grandchildren, Alecia and Alexandria Jones.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda Gayle Davis; three sisters, Virgie Adams, Elsie Porter, Lorene Gray; one brother, A.B. Harris, Jr.
