Dill Maxfield, 84, of Emery. Affectionately known as "Uncle Dill," Mr. Maxfield died in a Salt Lake Hospital.
He was born at Union Fort, Jan 31, 1875, to Henry H. and Sarah Ellen Morrill Maxfield. He was married to Mary Ann Williams, Aug 9, 1894. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple in 1916. She died in 1947.
They were the parents of 14 children of whom there are nine sons and three daughters surviving: Hillard, Weldon, Carloss and Melvin Maxfield, Mrs. Lloyd (Zella) Brinkerhoff, Mrs. Charles (Eldora) Haddenham, LuDean Maxfield and Mrs. Mervin (Velma) Johnson, Vaughn Maxfield, Elwood and Gerald Maxfield, and Maylin Maxfield; three sisters and one brother and 52 grandchildren and 68 great grandchildrern. Grandchildren living in Utah County area include Ted Brinkerhoff, Wanda McGinnis, and Jorma pollman.
