In December of 1941, she married Louis A. Disbrow in Albany, Oregon., where they lived most of their married life, moving to Salem to be close to their daughter in the early 1060s. Mr Disbrow Passed away in 1971.
Mildred worked in resturants, nursing homes and also for a company making catheters. She loved tending her vegetable and flower gardens, and reading both fiction and non-fiction.
She is survived by her daughter, Helen M. Wilson, Salem, Oregon; son-in-law, G. LaDon Wilson, Salem; grandsons, David L. Wilson, Salem Oregon, and Steven L. Wilson, Progresso, Mexico; great-granddaughters, Ashley L. Wilson, Point Reyes, California and Megan M. Wilson, Salem Oregon; and great-grandson, Michael A Wilson, Salem. Her parents, Preston Wesley and Effie Lena (Cady) McPherson preceded her in death. Graveside services were held at 1p.m. Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at City View Cemetery, Salem Oregon.
