Funeral services for M. Virginia Bivin 89 of Crockett, will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at Bailey & Foster Chapel Grapeland, with Chaplain Dwayne Thorton officiating. Burial will follow in Augusta Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster.

Mrs. Bivin passed away Sunday in Crockett. She was born April 6, 1923 in Augusta, to John and Lena Scoggins Penick.

She was retired from Southwestern Bell and was a member of Southmore Baptist Church, in Pasadena, Tx.

Mrs. Bivin was preceded in death by her parents, sister Audrey Hogue, brothers Jack, Johnny, Bill, Albert and Jake Penick.

She is survived by daughters Mary Marks and husband Garland of Deer Park, Jimmie Wilson and husband Woody of Mount Dora, FL. And Glenda Elles and husband Roger of Deer Park, grandchildren, Scott, Rachel, Joy, Melissa and Gayle, and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Roger Elles, Garland Marks and David Scoggins. Condolence calls will be received 1 hour before service time at Bailey & Foster Chapel Grapeland.
