Mrs. E. Stephens Dead.

Had Been Ill for the Past Three Years.

Mrs. Emma Stephens, wife of R.A. Stephens of 910 Coffeyville avenue, died at the home at 10:40 o'clock last night after an illness of three years. Death was due to paralysis.

Emma Bailey was born in Indiana December 9th, 1861 and was fifty-six years, two months and twenty-five days of age. She is survived by her husband, A.R. Stephens, two sons, J.A. Stephens of this city and J.M. Stephens, a member of the 110th engineers stationed at Camp Doniphan; three daughters, Mrs. N.L. Cornett and Mrs. W.C. Caldwell both of this city and Mrs. Arthur Scott of Coffeyville. Four sisters, Mrs. F. Trumpower and Mrs. George Gard of this city and Mrs. W.L. Bonney of Coffeyville and Mrs. Minnie Higgins of Coffeyville; two brothers, Ray Bailey of this city and Earnest Bailey of Bartlesville; her mother, Mrs. S.J. Bailey of this city.

The funeral will be held from the home at 2:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and the services will be in charge of Rev. I.B. Prather of the United Brethren church. Burial will be in Mount Hope cemetery.
