Terry is the son of Earle G. Hooker, Jr. and Lorraine Deuel Gilchrist. He is my younger brother, closest friend and confidante and his personality always picked me up when I needed it. Terry was well-educated and worked in several fields, one of which was as a narcotics agent. He looked so young at 23 years of age that he was 'planted' in various high schools, doing his part to fight the war on drugs and was reasonably successful. Time after time during his life he had been hired for other jobs and then after a brief period was let go because company group insurance would not accept him as he was diabetic. It was a diabetic coma that eventually took his life. He is missed by many and we can only wonder where other paths might have taken him. -Darrell R. Hooker
