Requiem Mass for Frank R. Martin, 89, of 6730 148th St. S.W., Edmonds, will be said at 10 o'clock Friday at Holy Rosary Church, Edmonds. Burial in Holyrood will be directed by Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds. He died yesterday in an Edmonds hospital after a three-week illness.
Born in Rosses Point, N.Y., Mr. Martin came to Seattle in 1899 and went to Alaska the next year. He was a district representative for the Hudson's Bay Co. at the Nome store until the store closed in 1929. He then worked as a civilian employee at the Marks Air Force Base there until retiring. He returned here in 1962.
Surviving are three sons, James, Seattle, Phillip, Edmonds, and Frank Martin, Jr., Anchorage; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Knudson, Seattle, Mrs. Robert A. Bunker, Edmonds, and Mrs. Kenneth Sly and Mrs. Julian Magee, both of Salt Lake City, and a sister in Canada.
