According to his father, Joseph's death certificate, Julia Rooker was George's Grandma and her year of birth (1803) would seem to support this. I've been looking into why George's death certificate shows his father as James and mother as Alice Coswell. Perhaps Alice is his mother? I've not found anything definitive on this assumption yet.
