Mrs. Ola P. Adams Koon, 81, of Leesville, widow of A. G. "Sug" Koon, died Sunday at Lexington County Hospital. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Rufus A. and Pearl Willingham Adams. She was a member of Union Lutheran Church. Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Robert F. (Sarah) Caughman and Mrs. Frankie (Delorise) Graham of Charleston, Mrs. Curtis (Naomi) Smith, Mrs. H. L. (Gladys) Kaminer and Mrs. James (Utricia) Shealy of Leesville, and Mrs. Richard (Mary Morgan) Shirley of Kansas City, Mo.; three sons, Rufus G., Paschal C. and Larry D. Koon; five sisters, Mrs. Murtis Long and Mrs. Eleanor Goff of Leesville, Gertrude Adams and Mrs. Nettie Cockrell of Graniteville and Mrs. Verna Fallaw of Columbia; four brothers, Clyde Adams of Batesburg, Cruise and Nolan Adams of Graniteville and Troy Adams of Columbia; 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Services will be 4 p.m. today at Union Lutheran Church, conducted by the Rev. F. LaVaughn Keisler and the Rev. J. L. Drafts. Burial will be in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Steve and Freddie Smith, Glenn, Kendall and Russell Koon, and Wayne Graham. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to Union Lutheran Church.
