Dennis Addison Pauley

TANGO - Dennis Addison Pauley, 76, of Tango went home to be with the Lord Feb. 1, 2003, in CAMC Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

He was a retired crane operator from IUOE Local 132, a member of Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768, Alum Creek, a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of Joes Creek Baptist Church, Tango.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou; sons and their wives, Rexford and Brenda Pauley of Sod, Tom and Judy Pauley of Richmond, Va.; daughter and her husband, Denise and Jerry Duncan of Hamlin; brother and his wife, Donald and Anna Mae Pauley of Dunbar; sisters and a brother-in-law, Joann and Andy Galford and Ruby Lawson, all of Hamlin; eight grandchildren, Melissa McClure, Rexanna Fitzwater, Rex Pauley II, Jeremy Mitchell, Hope Hunting, Josh Duncan, Casey Cook and Chris Garrison; eight great-grandchildren, Rachael and Jacob Fitzwater, Summer Adkins, R.J. and Justin Pauley, Blayke Cyfers, Nathaniel Hunting and Connor Hunting.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastor Lester Bell and Pastor Jerry Duncan officiating. Burial will be in the Pauley Cemetery, Tango, with military graveside rites conducted by the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
