John W. Beach, seventy-five, Washington Boro R1, died at 3 a.m. Saturday, in his home, after an illness of five years. Dr. J. M. Mustard, Millersville, deputy coroner, said that death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Beach was born June 13, 1872, in Colemanville, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beach. A retired blacksmith, he was a member of the Evangelical Church of Creswell, and of the Lancaster Moose Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Hallie Brien Beach; his daughters, Myrtle Boyer, wife of Raymond Boyer, Lancaster, and Mrs. Annie E. Douts, Washington Boro; a son, John Beach, Jr., Washington Boro; a stepson, Mylin B. Douts, Manor Twp.; and the following brothers and sisters: Susan Warfel, Conestoga; Mrs. Bina Tshudy, Smoketown; Mrs. Lizzie Rankin, Conestoga R1; Mrs. Ella Kleinhaus, Lancaster; Benjamin Beach, Conestoga; William Beach, East Petersburg; and Jonas Beach, Lancaster; also five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
