Eliza Wooldridge Carnes was born November 21, 1861, and departed this life August 9th, 1951, making her 89 years, 9 months, and 12 days old.

She was married to Joe Carnes, February 14, 1876. He preceded her in death in 1931. To this union 7 children were born, all of whom are living, they are: B.F. Carnes, Alleatha Rogers, Leo Carnes, Stanley Carnes, Chester Carnes, Walter Carnes, and Chena Carnes Winfrey.

She professed faith in Christ in early life and united with the Freedom Christian Church, where she remained a faithful member to the end. She leaves behind her 7 children, 26 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, one brother, Milton Wooldridge of Atlus, Okla., a host of relatives and friends to mourn her passing.

Funeral was held 2:00 P.M. Friday, Aug. 10, at Freedom Christian Church with Bro. Herbert Popplewell. Burial in family cemetery. Rippetoe Funeral Home of Russell Springs was in charge of all arrangements.
