Son of John Alloway and Hannah (Foreman) White
He is the great-grandson of Thomas White of the Boston Tea Party fame.

OBIT:
George E. White, of 219 Duncansville avenue, Llyswen, died at his home yesterday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, of pneumonia. He was aged 72 years and 3 days. His wife died last March and he is survived by two sons - W. W. White, this city, and J. G. C. White, of Llyswen.
One sister, Miss Annie White, also survives, with a half-brother, Edmund White, and a half-sister, Mrs. Rebecca Hamilton, both of Saxton. Two grandsons, George and Calvin White, also survive. Mr. White was a member of the South Altoona Presbyterian church, Logan lodge No. 79, K.of P., B. S. Davis lodge No. 1069, I.O.O.F., the Knights of Malta and Altoona council No. 580, Royal Arcanum. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the South Altoona Presbyterian church, followed by burial in Rose Hill cemetery.
