MRS. FRANCES E. AKERS
MRS. FRANCES E. AKERS died Saturday evening May 22 at the home of her
son-in-law, J. G. COFFEE and wife. On Sunday afternoon, her remains were
interred in the Mountain Park Cemetery by the side of her husband, J.W . AKERS
who was laid to rest about 1 _ years ago. Mrs. Akers was a member of the
Presbyterian Church, but in the absence of that pastor, funeral services were
conducted by Rev. FOUNT JONES of the Baptist Church. She was born in Indiana
Feb. 26, 1832 and was nearly 77 years of age at the time of her death. Two sons
and two daughters survive her.
