The Atlanta Constitution - 6/6/1912 - Senoia, Ga - Dr. F. M. Brantley, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of this city, died early Wednesday Morning at the ripe old age of 94 years, having been in declining health for the past year.

Dr. Brantley was born near Milledgeville in July 1818. He was married to Miss Margaret Ezzard Collier, of Marthasville, now the city of Atlanta, in 1840. For a number of years, he practiced medicine in Meriwether county, but came to Senoia soon after the war, where he continue to practice until he became too old and feeble.

He was the oldest member of the Georgia Medical Assocaition and made it his special duty to meet with this body as long as his health would permit. He was also a very prominent Mason, and a member of the Baptist church of this city, from which the funeral service was conducted Thursday morning at 11 a. m. by Rev S. R. C. Adams of Ocilla.

He is survived by nine children, Dr. A. H. Brantley and John R. Brantley, of Atlanta; Mrs. Frank Forth of Dawson, S. B. Brantley, B. H. Brantley and W. B. Brantley, of Clermont, Fla.; Col. F. M. Brantley of Ft. Worth, Texas; and Mrs. S. E. Sibley and Mrs. J. H. Jones, of Senoia.
