Mrs. Carrie B. Spangler, 99, formerly of Chambersburg R.D. 5, died at 11:25 p.m. Thursday in the Leader Nursing Home, Chambersburg.
Born March 3, 1880 in Washington Township, she was a daughter if the late Jacob and Charlotte (Wildeson) Deardorff.
She was a member of Solomon's Lutheran Church, Grindstone Hill.
Her husband, J. Howard Spangler, died Dec. 25, 1962.
She is survived by a daughter, Miss Mary E. Spangler, Leader Nursing Home; two sons Chester D. Spangler, York, and J. Ralph Spangler, 140 Snider Ave., Waynesboro; two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. She was the last of her immediate family.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Solomon's Lutheran Church, with the Rev. George E. Nein officiating. Burial will be in the Grindstone Hill Cemetery.
