He was a native of Hart County, a retired farmer and former owner-operator of H.L. England Trucking Company, a member of Park Methodist Church and a longtime Trustee of Cosby Cemetery. He enjoyed people and life in general. He was preceded in death by his parents, Venus J. (Jake) England and Mattie Branstetter England; his wife, Dorothy Hamilton England in 2011 and by two brothers, Carlos J. England and Henry Buford England.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Meadows and her husband Paul, Glasgow and Sandra Gentry and her husband Kenneth, Hardyville; one granddaughter, Cindy Meadows, Hardyville; three grandsons, Mark Gentry & his wife Margie, Hardyville, Jeffrey Scott Meadows & his wife Michelle, Glasgow and Michael Gentry & his wife Marsha, Cave City; five great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews..
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday February 25, 2013 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Cosby Cemetery. Memorial contributions to Cosby Cemetery, C/O Jerry Branstetter.
