Stanley Sampley Sr.

MONTEREY - Funeral services for Stanley Charles Sampley,Sr,90, of Monterey, TN, will be held Tuesday, Jan 31, 1995, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Horner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sand Springs Memorial Cemetery.
A Masonic memorial service, conducted by Monterey Masonic Lodge #751 F&AM, will be held at 8 p.m. tonight, Jan 30, 1995, at the funeral home.
Mr. Sampley died Sunday, January 29, 1995, in Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, TN, following an extended illness.
Born August 21, 1904, in Putnam County, he was the son of the late E.G. and Irene Robinson Sampley.
Mr. Sampley was retired from the State of Tennessee as a reimbursement officer. He was a member of the Tennesseee General Assembly, having served in the House of Representatives during the 73rd and 74th General Assemblies from 1943-1947.
He was a member of Pomonia United Methodist Church in Cumberland County and Monterey Masonic Lodge #751.
His family includes his wife, Georgia Jones Sampley; a son, Stanley C Sampley, Jr of Crossville, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Rodney Jones, Roy and Ryan Howard and Bill, Tom, Jack, and John Grimsley.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Rev. Dewitt Sampley, Rev. Denman Frazer and Rev. Clifford Ingram will officiate at the services.
