Mrs. Jerry Nell Harkness, age 68, of Belleville, AR died Saturday, February 21, 1998 at St. Edwards Hospital in Fort Smith. She was born in Danville, AR June 2, 1929, daughter of the late, Leo Hulse [Gault] and Audrey Foley Gault. She was a retired Rural Route Mail Carrier, she was a member of the Belleville United Methodist Church. She was the widow of John Robert "Bob" Harkness, Jr. and was also preceded in death by an infant brother, M. T. Gault.
She is survived by a son, Bob Harkness of Conway; a daughter, Caron Hays of Springdale, AR; a brother, John Gault of Danville; a sister, Mary Frazier of Fort Smith, AR; two granddaughters, Michelle Stane of Greenbrier and Karen Michele Hays of Springdale; a grandson, Zachard Hays of Springdale and two great grandchildren, Megan and Nicholas Stane of Greenbrier.
Funeral service was February 24, 1998 at the Belleville United Methodist Church with Rev. Wanda Ogden and Rev. Joe Gramling officiating. Burial was in the Russell Cemetery in Belleville. Pallbearers were Harry, Tony and Chad Frazier, Nick, John Pledger and Mike Gault. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville.
