James Douglas Fisher,40,of Route 3,was pronounced dead on arrival at Waynesboro Community Hospital Wednesday evening.

He was born in Waynesboro on May 1,1944, a son of Early Nicholson Fisher Sr. and Katie Elizabeth Gibson Fisher.

He was a member of Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Lee Miller Fisher;one son,James Duane Fisher at home,one daughter,Amanda Gail Fisher at home;three brothers,Early N. Fisher Jr.Ronald R. Fisher and Robert A.Fisher all of Waynesboro,five sisters,Mrs.A.L.(Virginia) Smith Jr..,Mrs. Robert (Bessie) Arey,Mrs. John (Joyce) Mc Dougall all of Waynesboro,Mrs.John (Letty)Wood of Richmond and Mrs.Kenneth R.(Darlene) McConkey of Redmon, Ill;and a number of nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a brother,Wayne M.Fisher.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church,conducted by Dr.J Whitner Kennedy.Burial will be in the Church Cemetery.The Body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service.

Active pallbearers will be Jerry Fisher,James Fisher,Trenton Fisher,Sammy Fisher,Woodrow H.Fisher Jr.,.Jimmy Fisher,Robert Lane and Jeff Brown.

The Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 tonight at McDow Funeral Home and at other times at the home of his sister,Mrs. Robert H.Arey,Calf.Mountain Rd.
