Catherine M. White, 86, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Laurels of Bedford. She was born on June 27, 1916 in Monroe, Michigan to John and Flora Croose.

She married Bolden White on June 29, 1935 in Battle Creek, Michigan. They were married 57 years. Bolden passed away on May 5, 1992.

Catherine was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. She was employed by Michigan Carton Company before her children were born and retired from Sears Roebuck Credit Department. When she was younger, she played on a basketball team. In her senior years, she enjoyed shuffleboard, bingo, dancing, music, attending Burnham Brook and spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She spent 20 years wintering in Florida. She was a member of the Lakeview Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir.

The was also preceded in death by her mother and father, sisters Helena Barney and Shirley Baylor.

She was a loving Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, and is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Larry) Heath of Battle Creek, Susan Allgaier of Holland, MI and Becky (Thomas) Edwards of Battle Creek. Grandchildren; Kelly (Rick) Beechy of Ohio, Janie (Dennis) Sare, Sara (Joe)Denslaw of Apopka, FL, Seth Allgaier of Holland, MI, Carrie Allgaier of Kalamazoo, MI and Johanna Heath of Florida, Jeff Heath of Boston, Jill, Tommy and Taylor Edwards of Battle Creek, Great Grandchildren; Allyson and Jaret Beechy of Ohio, Amanda and Emily Sare of Battle Creek and Samantha Denslaw of Apopka, FL.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, where family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Services will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor B. Kyra Jackson officiating.

Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lakeview Baptist Church.
