Mr. Calvin Taylor, age 76, of Sulligent, AL passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the residence. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Wofford Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers will be Edward Taylor, Marvin Taylor, Jerry Reeves, Pansy Reeves, Steve Weeks and Truman Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be James Hill Taylor, Robert Taylor, Wayne Taylor, Robert Foster and Charles Taylor. Officiating ministers will be Bro. Jerry Oakes and Bro. Stephen Blaylock. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Mr. Taylor was born on December 8, 1931 in Lamar County, Alabama to the late Guy Raymond Taylor and Quilla Marie Taylor Hollis. He attended Sulligent High School, Lamar County High School and was a graduate of Shelton State College in Tuscaloosa. Mr. Taylor was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a millwright and also owned and operated Taylor Tires for several years.
