DIED
At her home in this city, after a lingering illness of several years, Mrs. Mary Strahan, aged about 78 years. Mrs. Strahan had resided here for about twelve years and was well known by everyone in this vicinity. Nothing but kindest words of praise were ever spoken of her, and the citizens of this vicinity were shocked to learn of her death on Saturday morning.
The funeral services were held at the M. E. church on Sunday morning, conducted by Rev. Morey, after which the remains were accompanied to the train by a large concourse of people, and the body taken to Chariton, Iowa, for interment beside that of her husband who had departed this life several years ago.
