Anna Mae Combs, 77, of Salinas, died of natural causes Saturday, April 17, 2004, at Salinas Rehab Center. She was born Sept. 26, 1926, in Oklahoma, and was a homemaker for 50 years.

She loved salmon fishing, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was an Oakland A's fan. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 31 in Salinas.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Westley Richards of Fort Worth, Texas.

Survivors: Son, Everett Combs of Watsonville; brothers, Mace Westley of Salinas, Pete Westley of Anderson and Connie Westley of Longview, Texas; sister, Betty (Fred) Frazier of Bristo, Okla.; grandchildren, Everett Combs Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Combs; and great-grandchildren, Crystal Lynn Combs and Megan Combs.

• Visitation: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 22, and 10 a.m. to noon Friday, April 23, at Whitehurst Muller Funeral Chapel, East Alisal Street and Pajaro Street.

• Services: 1 p.m. Friday, April 23, at Garden of Memories Memorial Park, 768 Abbott St., Salinas.

• Memorials: Visiting Nurse Association and Hospice, 957-A Blanco Circle, Salinas, CA 93901.
