Bozeman, April 14--John F. Work, who died in Bozeman yesterday when nearly 86 years of age, was not only a pioneer of Montana, but of Colorado, Idaho and Washington. He crossed the plains to Pike's Peak, Colorado in 1859, and from there came to Idaho in 1862. He was one of a party going on foot from Lewiston, Idaho, to Walla Walla, Wash., that year and in 1864 he returned to Idaho and located that year in Montana where he has lived ever since.
