MRS. NELLIE FEATHERSTON DIES HERE AT 81

Mrs. Nellie Featherston, 81, formerly of Moberly, died at 2:30 a.m. today in Chicago, Ill. She had been in failing health for several years and had made her home with her son, George Crosswhite, in Chicago for the past five years.

Born Aug. 6, 1887, in Moberly, she was the daughter of Vinton and Melissa Welch. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church. Her husband, Roy Featherston, died in 1964.

Other survivors are three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Lucy Graves and Mrs. Nannie Grugin, Moberly; and one brother Jess Welch, Moberly.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Crosswhite.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Million and Greer Chapel by the Rev. Wilfred House, pastor of Trinity United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will begin tomorrow at 7 p.m.
