Obituary- Matthew Sitterle

Matthew Sitterle, 24, died August 4, 2004, at Lakeview Camp of the Assemblies of God, Waxahachie, TX, in a drowning accident. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Central Assembly of God church in Des Moines, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Cemetery.

Matthew was born August 26, 1979, in Des Moines, IA. He attended Lincoln High School and earned his GED with a core in carpentry in Denison, Iowa.

Matt was a member of Central Assembly of God church. He had recently refocused his life on his personal relationship with Jesus and shared his love for God with anyone willing to listen. He was a student in the Life Challenge program at the time he was taken home to be with the Lord. We will remember Matthew for his love, his sense of humor, and his victories over his struggles.

Matthew is survived by his mother, Jeni Sitterle; his father and stepmother, Mark and Ruby Sitterle; his sisters, Adrea Sitterle and Chrissy Davis; his half-brother, Caleb; his step-sister, Brittany; and his special little buddy and nephew, Noah Quijano. His grandmother, Jeri Philipsen, and his grandfather, Bill Sitterle, preceded him in death.

A private family visitation will be from 5-6:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 10, 2004 followed by an open visitation with the family present from 6 to 8:00 p.m., at Hamilton's Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions will be distributed between Life Challenge and other ministries that Matthew cherished.
