ALTEMUS, MURPHY A resident of Henderson, he died Friday, Aug. 29, 1997, at Lafayette General Medical Center, Lafayette. He was 79. Visiting was at Pellerin Funeral Home, Henderson, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visiting at the funeral home 7 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Saturday. Religious services at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Henderson, at 11 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Baton Rouge. Survived by wife, Anna Belle Altemus, Henderson; three daughters, Jackie Brewer, Cynthia Day and Lidia Aucoin, all of Baton Rouge; a stepson, Danny Hernandez, Carencro; three stepdaughters, Judy Senset and Maria Duhon, both of Lafayette, and Yvonne Johnson, Carencro; a sister, Sadie Wiltz, Henderson; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
