SMITH, Mrs. Minnie Hodge - age 77, residence Brooks Gap Road, Clinton, Route 1, passed away at 1:25 p.m. Wednesday at her home. She was a member of the Beech Springs Baptist Church at Kodak. She was the widow of J. R. Smith. Survivors: daughters, Mrs. James D. (Katherine) Bowling, Clinton; Mrs. W. E. (Bernell) Beeler, Salem, Va., Mrs. Frank (Bonnie) E. Bowling, Knoxville; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brothers, Tom and George Hodge, Kodak; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 2 p. m. Friday at Rose Chapel, Rev. Ralph Cline officiating. Interment Beech Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers: Charles Hodge, Mack Hodge, Ronald and Bobby Shepherd, Beecher Johnson, and Carroll Huffaker. The family will receive friends 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Rose Mortuary.
