Married John Young Brown Hayden on 22 May 1877 in Hardin Co., Kentucky. They had six children.
From the Corydon Democrat newspaper, 6 Dec 1939:
Mrs. Maggie Hayden, widow of Brown Hayden, passed away Monday (4 Dec) at the home of her son, Lambert Hayden near Corydon.
She was 79 years of age on Nov. 22nd. Her maiden name was Thomas and she was born and reared at Elizabethtown, Ky. She and her family moved to this county 20 years ago.
Services were held this (6 Dec) morning at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Surviving are 2 sons and 2 daughters, Lambert and Cyrus[sic] Hayden near Corydon, Mrs. Lora[sic] Hoffman[sic] of Massillon, Ohio, and Mrs. Rebecca Branger[sic] of Bellevue, Ky. She also leaves 31 grandchildren and a brother, Wayne Thomas of St. Louis, Mo.
Two sons, Leo and Van Hayden preceded her in death.
