Greenwood,Del.-Ray B.Fisher,62,of Route 2,Box 193A2,Greenwood,Del.,died Friday morning (March 3,2000) at Nanticoke Hospital in Seaford,Del.
He was born Sept.11,1937 in Charlottesville,a son of Hammie and Clara Fisher.
Mr.Fisher was a U.S. Air Force Veteran, a former employee of G.E. in Waynesboro and Whitlock of Delaware.He was a self employed painter for many years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Fisher.
He is survived by his wife----------of Delaware,one brother,Edward R.Fisher and a sister-in-law,Mary of Waynesboro;two sons,Eddie and Ricky Fisher of Damacus, Ga.
one granddaughter,Shannon Fisher and one grandson,Darrien Fisher;two step-sons.Martin Cox and his wife Delores,Michael Cox and wife Jennifer,all of Delaware,four step-grandchildren,Sammy Cox,George Cox,Heather Cox and Hannah Cox of Delaware.Also surviving are two nieces,Donna L Jones of Colorado Springs,Colo., and Susan Murdock of Midlothian;four great-nephews,Matthew Murdock,Ryan Murdock,Derek Jones and Dustin Jones.
A memorial Service was held on Monday by the Rev.Merle Fisher at Glen Kirk Presbyterian Chapel on Calf. Mountain Road,Waynesboro.
Parsell Funeral Home of Lewes,Del. was in charge of arrangements.
Another memorial service will be held in Delaware at a later date.
